The Worst Flu in the history of the world... ever!

Slightly melodramatic? Perhaps... but my golly after the couple of days we've had I deserve it.

We were hit with what appears to be the Norwalk virus and it was brutal. Miss Malie Cat started off first on Saturday evening, threw up all over her supper. That was at 6 pm, by 9:30 I was sick as a dog. Spent 7.5-8 hours straight vomiting (won't go into all the gory details!). Of course Miss Tala couldn't be left out and started at it at 1 am in the morning. Poor Andrew had to take care of me and miss Tala both passed out on the couch downstairs. Somehow Miss Malie got away with the smallest case. She was better (mostly) and ravenous the next morning. Tala & I are still working at getting back to normal. Not even chicken nuggets & fries could entice her to eat much.

Muddle Cuddles Make Everything Better. If anyone is ever wondering why I call Muddy Muddle this is why. She's an amazing Cuddle Dog. She takes whatever we have to dish out.

Tala got it the worst of the 2 girls. She spent the whole night cuddled on the couch with me. It was not a good night!

You should note though, that neither girl was too sickly to abstain from toting along on the Vacuum!

On the plus side I headed off the Shoppers DrugMart Saturday morning and redeemed for $200 in food, plus used almost $40 in coupons. Approx $240 worth of food for.... $4.43 out of pocket. So proud of myself. LOL. For once Andrew didn't mind me doddling around the supermarket.

Then I had a free manicure and pedicure done in the afternoon. Thank goodness whatever it was that hit us didn't arrive until later that day! I was also so thankful that by some miracle of miracles Andrew stayed home from the Guys Retreat. I couldn't move off of the couch on Saturday night at all. If he hadn't been here I don't know what I would have done!

Take that Food Felt!

Kim (the wonderful owner of thebabymarketplace.com) has been tormenting me with images of her new hobby, food felt for the last week or so. Her work is absolutely beautiful and keeps making me want to make food felt too. Monkey see, monkey do. Well, as everyone knows, I don't even have enough time for the hobbies that I already have.

So take that Food Felt! I did not succumb to the temptation. Instead I made this:


I love it! Its so sweet and summery. Its too late to wake Tala up to try it on (gosh darn it!) but you can bet your bottom that it will be on her first thing in the morning. Only took 2 hours to do, and to my surprise the ruffle was the easiest part.

Off to bed... I cannot wait to see Tala's face in the morning when she sees her dress.
