Happy Green Bee. Happy Green Me!

Miss Malie has been getting spoiled lately! Its wonderful to see the excitement in her eyes when she learns that there's a new item for her to review. One of the coolest items on the block these days is her adorable Petal Dress from Happy Green Bee. It is absolutely adorable, and thick enough knit that it keeps her body warm during our cool weather. Even when the sun is shining its always a tad cool up in Prince Rupert. A small price to pay though for living in the most beautiful place in the world!

It is my opinion as the mother of 2 pretty princesses, that every little girl must own a Petal Dress from Happy Green Bee. Its that simple! The way that this dress is cut makes it absolutely perfect for twirling around the house. It flares out just like the name implies, like the petals of a beautiful flower.

Happy Green Bee offers this adorable dress in 7 delicious color combos. I choose the Chocolate/Bean for Malie is it matches her coloring perfectly. But it doesn't stop there! Happy Green Bee offers a full line of Organic Clothing for babies and toddlers. All featuring bright, beautiful patterns that are sure to please through all your children. Living in a wet climate I look for clothing that is bright and energetic and also that is warm enough to keep the girls warm without over dressing with layer upon layer.

One thing that I value in Happy Green Bee clothing is the fact that the items are designed not to be skin tight. I go out of my way to buy the girls items that are modest. I refuse to dress my kids like grown ups, and so its refreshing to find companies that feel the same way. Our babies grow up so quickly, why rush?

We love Happy Green Bee and I'm sure you will too!

As far as credentials on creating fabulous products goes Mari has an impressive resume! Does the company Burt's Bees sound familiar? Well it was her baby once upon a time. She now focuses on Happy Green Bee and creating gorgeous and safe products for our most precious resource!

Mari has generously offered one lucky reader the opportunity to bring home a beautiful pair of Happy Green Bee Leggings!
These adorable leggings come in your choice of 8 colour combos perfect for any little girl or boy!

To enter, head on over to Happy Green Bee and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what your favorite item is. Its that easy!

See Kai Run into Your Hearts

As you may have guessed over the last couple of months I have a shoe obsession, but not so much with grown up shoes. My daughter's have to have the best, most adorable, and well thought out designs possible. See Kai Run definitely fits all those requisites with their adorable line of leather shoes for our little movers. Miss Malie has been living in her shoes since they arrived. Thankfully the weather has been cooperating and we have been under a bright blue, sunny sky for the last couple of weeks. We are getting so spoiled up North! Curious about the shoes that have captured Malie's heart?

These Cameron Sky Shoes are absolutely divine! The attention to detail is amazing, and the design is absolutely perfect for spring. See Kai Run keeps up their tradition of making kid friendly shoes, with lovely flexible soles, and ease of use with velcro closures. I love how easy it is for Malie to put these shoes on for herself. They also hug the foot exceptionally well for sandals, which makes walking a breeze. No catching the toe of her shoe on the ground and taking a spill. A definite design plus, no one wants banged up toes!
See Kai Run has generously offered one lucky Optimistic Beauty reader the opportunity to win their very own pair of See Kai Run shoes! To enter head over to See Kai Run and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what your choice would be. Its that easy!

Green Toys, Review & Giveaway

What does this Mommy love above all else? Fun stuff, of course! I also have a serious soft spot for products that are environmentally conscious. My kids have inherited my love of the environment and are also quite obsessed with conservation.

What makes Green Toys absolutely amazing in my opinion is that fact that they are made 100% recycled milk jugs right in the USA! Not only that but they are BPA, Phthalates, and Lead Paint Free! What does this really mean to my future David Suzuki's? Well I'm sure that the fact that their cool new toy is safe and environmentally friendly means a whole lot more to me then registers in their toddler world. But there's no denying that they thoroughly enjoy this amazing companies products.

The other thing that draws me to Green Toys is that these are true imagination toys. No bells and whistles, flashing lights, cool sound effects. These toys encourage our children to think for themselves. To entertain themselves, rather than be entertained. I love that! Whether you're lucky enough to pick up the Tool Kit, the Recycling Truck, the tea party set, or the indoor gardening set you'll be right in there with your kids having a blast.

We received the Indoor Gardening Set to try out. Despite my best intentions of capturing the entire experience on film to share with you guys the girls were always 1 step ahead of me. As soon as they saw the kit come into the house they were right into it. Opened the box, took out the stuff and knew exactly what to do.

One thing that was super cool about the soil that you receive in this kit is just how much it expands. You get a small little compact disc of soil for each pot. The disc takes up maybe 1/4 of the pot. Then you add a cup of water and the magic starts. After 20-30 minutes the soil has grown to fill up the entire pot, which is really super cool. The girls were very impressed with the magic trick and finally the camera arrived!

This super cool kit comes with 3 different varieties of organic seeds to plant. Sweet Basil, Sun Flowers & Zinnia. We decided to stick to just the Sweet Basil for now as its still pretty gosh darn cold here and I know for a fact that the Sun Flowers would not do too swell this time of the year. So in 14-18 days, cross our fingers, we'll have some nicely germinated Sweet Basil.

So, here's what I love about Green Toys:

* They're made 100% from recycled milk jugs in the USA
* They free of BPA, Phthalates, and lead paint
* Classic designs that encourage creative thinking
* They're great for adults too!
* The kids adore them

And another thing about Green Toys to love? They're giving one lucky Optimistic Beauty Reader the chance to bring home their very own Indoor Gardening Set! A huge thank you to Kirk of Green Toys for this amazing review and giveaway opportunity.

How can you win? Head on over to Green Toys and have a look at their selection of products. Come back here and let me know which one you would love to have for the little one in your life (child, grandchild, niece, nephew, neighbour, it can be anyone). It's that easy!

Photofiddle Review & Giveaway

My kids are my world. They mean absolutely everything to me, they are my reason for everything I do. So it makes perfect sense that I love to surround myself with pictures of them in all their glory. Looking at their smiling, beautiful faces is uplifting. So when I stumbled upon Photofiddle.com I was super excited. Turning my daughter into artwork is a very cool possibility.

I consider myself to be a pretty creative Mommy, and I love that Photofiddle gives you 2 options for creating beautiful artwork that will become a cherished family piece for years and years to come. You can take the driver's seat and create a project that is completely you, or you can let the artists at photofiddle take the wheel and churn out a series of creations for your choosing.

While I am pretty creative, I am also a very busy Mommy and so I went with the second option. And let me tell you that the process was so painless. I simply sent in a couple photos, the art department went to work, and they sent me back a selection of 25 images to choose from. What a wonderful option!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Tala. It radiates excitment. And I love this creation that now garners oohs and ahhs from every single person who walks through the living room. It commands attention, and is every bit as exciting and gorgeous as I had hoped it would be!

I love my photographs that adorn my walls. The pictures of my girls are a part of me. They remind me of happy times in our lives. The little things that made us laugh and giggle up a storm. They bring back memories of fun in the sun, walks along the creek, and even barrelling down the hill at the golf course in a recent snow storm. These memories are enhanced when turned into such beautiful artwork.

A true treasure!

Photofiddle.com would like to help you preserve those special memories too! One lucky Optimistic Beauty reader will receive a $50 gift certificate to put towards creating their own masterpiece. To enter head on over to Photofiddle.com and have a look around. And then come back here and let me know what image you would pick, and what design you would incorporate with it. It's that easy!

ShooShoo's Review & Giveaway

Well let me tell you that Miss Malie was by far the most enthused to finally have her very own pair of shoes to model for Mommy's blog. Being the younger sister she always gets the short end of the stick, and lives mostly in hand me downs. But to be perfectly honest, she is so appreciative for every new item that comes through the door (or in this case the postal truck) that the excitement is contagious.

Today I present you with ShooShoos. Malie received her very own pair of Smiley Sole Soft Soled Leather Baby Shoes to review.

Malie is absolutely enthralled by these gorgeously cute shoos (lol) that are heavy duty enough to make that trip to the playground, without becoming destroyed. I'm sure that my girls are no exception in the fact that they're rough and tumble, and their shoes really do take a beating. I love the rubber soles that are flexible enough so that she can still feel the curve of the land underneath her feet, but that still protect her precious little feet against sharp rocks and sticks.

These leather baby shoes are super easy to put on, and Malie has already mastered putting them on. What surprised me the most the fasteners on these baby shoes is how much velcro there is. Seems like a small detail to an adult, but not to a little one first learning to put on their shoes themselves. Those glorious smiles and excited eyes when they master a new talent are priceless. The other benefit to the larger then average velcro fasteners is that you can easily adjust the shoe to fit perfectly around chubby little ankles.

Even if your little one is just starting to take those special first steps, ShooShoos can outfit your little one in adorable leather baby shoes at an amazing price. I love the full selection of baby shoes available. My only regret is not finding this amazing shop sooner!

These Giraffe soft soled leather baby shoes are absolutely adorable, and clearance priced at only $12.95 are the absolute perfect price to grab a couple pairs!

The wonderful folks at ShooShoos USA want to outfit one lucky Optimistic Beauty readers little one with absolutely amazing soft soled baby shoes!

To enter head on over to ShooShoos and have a look at the incredibably cute selection of baby shoes available. Come back here and let me know your favorite pair. For extra brownie points let me know why they appeal to you, or why ShooShoos baby shoes appeal to you. It's that easy!

Oh My! Most Recent Transformation

As promised there was one more transformation in the works. A make believe one at that. Tenille over at Feisty Frugal & Fabulous finally succeeded in twisting my rubber arm and I now have my very own Twilight Picture. I love it to pieces!

Jennifer from My Magic Me transformed this boring lack luster photo into something absolutely amazing. I don't do non-smiling photos well. I always look so angry. But the request from her site is to send a non-smiling photo for the best results. So I obliged. This picture was taken after caring for sick kiddos for 3 days, and my own sick bum for 2 days. So while I wouldn't actually ever post such a horrible picture of me for everyone to see, today I am just to show the amazing talents of Jennifer! Today after taking care of sick kiddos for 6 days, my sick bum for 5 days, the last 16 hours of which I have been vomiting non-stop would create a much much worse photo... which I will not torment myself with, though I'm sure Jennifer would do a bang up job even in my much worsened state today!

I love the look of the picture. I have seen a couple of them around the blogsphere lately. I adore the fact that Jennifer doesn't take a one image suits all approach. This photo takes my own personal attributes into account and enhances them rather then covering them up. I have always avoided dying my hair black black due to the concern of it washing me out and making my olive skin appear more pale then usual... but this picture is actually making me seriously consider it. Perhaps after I use up the last box of red dye that I have in waiting I'll go for black.

Want you very own Twilight picture? Then head on over to My Magic Me . For $7 you can join the Cullen family too. Her talent is absolutely amazing and you will be as impressed as I am! For best results send a couple pictures so that her expert eye can choose the best on for transformation.

Do you have your very own Twilight picture? I'd love to see yours. Post your link in the comments section and I'll check them out.

144 Collection Review & Giveaway

I admit it. I am a purse fanatic. I absolutely adore having gorgeous purses that capture attention. One of the companies that has recently caught my attention is 144-Collection. And its not just me that has been taken by storm. 144-Collection is available in many amazing boutiques in Australia and the US. Not only does Lesia create absolutely amazing bags, they are very economically priced!

What appeals to me the most about the 144 Collection is the beautiful, bright, vibrant colours that Lesia has chosen to use. These bags will not be lost in a sea of neutrals. They add brilliant pop to your basic black trench for work, and go flirtatiously well with jeans a t-shirt on the weekend. Absolutely gorgeous is what they are.

I received the Brave Bird Jessica Bag for review.

What I love about this bag is that its pink & brown, my absolute favorite colour combination. I also adore the fact that this bag is just the right length to sit comfortably under my arm. Above all else, the design is timeless. There is amble room inside the bag for everything I could possibly ever need to pack around with me. I love that the inside of the bag is pink as well, which makes it impossible for me to loose things inside.

One thing that I would change about this bag if I could would be to add a cellphone pocket. I use my cell phone a lot and find that it can be a tad difficult to fish out in time, and it doesn't quite fit inside the interior pocket as well as I would like. To be fair though, my cellphone is oddly shaped, and is quite a bit larger then most of the newer phones on the market. The little interior pocket does fit my Zune exceptionally well, which is my 2nd most used accessory.

The quality of the bag is obvious, the workmanship that has gone into these beautiful handmade bags is top notch. Lesia has truly created an absolutely amazing product that is the perfect addition to any wardrobe.

One lucky reader will have the opportunity to try out their very own 144-Collection Jessica 2.0 Bag. The small difference between the Jessica bag I received for review and the one going out to the lucky winner is in the closure of the bag. My Jessica bag closes with a snap closure, the Jessica 2.0 bag has been redesigned to close with a zipper.

To enter to win this fabulous bag (shown below) head on over to 144-Collection's Etsy Shop and have a look around. Come back here and let me know what your favorite item is. It's that easy!

Amber's Ambry Review & Giveaway

Remember this little guy?

Well his Mama is back and once again offering Optimistic Beauty readers the opportunity to bring home an amazing prize. And I still cannot understand why Amber calls Mr. Pillow the Worst Toy Ever. My girls have been firmly attached to theirs since they arrived. Malie is all about her cuddle toy and Mr Pillow fits perfectly into her hand.

What initially attracted to Amber's Etsy shop was her Mr. Pillow collection, but after my fascination with those little cuties waned, the next thing that I noticed was her selection of soaps. The scents available are absolutely divine, and the presentation in her photos really seal the deal.

Interestingly enough the forerunner in favorite product during the last giveaway was (I kid you not) the minty poo! You gotta give Amber serious props for featuring such a unique product in her shop!
Amber has generously offered one lucky reader the chance to bring home a super awesome and amazing hand sewn gift bag overflowing with goodies from her shop!
Winner will receive: an Artsy Clutch, hand balm, as well as 2 soaps (Veggie Soap is the dark one, scented with vanilla and gingermilk fragrance, and the lighter one is coconut verbena and lime). What an awesome package of goodies!

To enter, head on over to Amber's Ambry and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what your favorite item is. It's that easy!

So we did the blog makeover .... now for the room makeover

The blog makeover for all intents and purposes is A) the one you'll see the most of and B) the easiest and least complex! Wading through html is far preferable to fighting with masking tape, and preventing the kids from painting the cat!

But alas the room makeover is complete. Well not technically correct. Makeovers is the correct term... and the makeover isn't quite complete. I will be tearing out the carpets and putting down laminate after my tax return arrives! Along with that will be the installation of new baseboards as the ones currently in place are half missing, and being that they are the original ones from 1918 I figure the odds of matching them are slim to none. So I am going with all new baseboards in my room & the girls' room.

Now, some of you who know me are probably sitting there wondering why I feel the need to continually make work for myself. Like I'm not already busy enough already. Or perhaps you're like my Dad who spent a solid week grumbling that he couldn't understand why I would change perfectly good paint. To which I responded "Sure there's nothing wrong with it if you're Barney".

Enter photo evidence #1 on why the 16 year old paint job had to go - a colour that I never picked - and have never liked.
This room was Barney Purple - so bright that it glowed out the window. Now true enough that its my room and the true purpose is sleeping. But truth be told its also my sanctuary. The one place in this house that is truly mine. And I would like it to reflect who I am and be a colour that I enjoy.

Now the be completely honest, my room is still freaking bright. But its also a huge pick me up from the gloominess that comes with living in a rainy climate.

My room has built-ins that I decided to paint a different colour then the walls. The colour ended up more yellow then anticipated, but it adds well to the whole bright and cheery theme. The bedspread was a rare Bargain Shop find. $19.98 for a pretty decent comforter. Its comfortable and matches my room perfectly. I spent a month searching the town for a comforter and just happened past the Bargain Shop and found the perfect one at a price that can't be beat!

And so... of course after painting my room, Malie's was quite drab by comparison. The 16 year old paint looked extra old, and the colour looked bland. So I tackled her room next. 2 rolls of masking tape later we have a gorgeous looking room. While its not perfect, neither am I. And I'm sure that I'll be painting it again as she grows.

Her design plan was to have the slanted ceiling side painted in a rainbow. I let her select the colours herself and they're more pastel then one would expect to see in a rainbow, and quite honestly it looks more like a big top tent than a rainbow to me... but she loves it and that's what truly matters.

This next picture is of Tala playing around in Malie's room. I had hoped to get a picture of Malie but she's back to being camera shy.
And one last picture. Anyone remember the $130 Stacey Wyman-Posnett print that I received from Points & Prizes? Well it finally has a home and looks divine on her wall!

So now we've had the blog makeover, the hair & nail makeover, and now the room makeover. What's next? Well there's one more makeover in the making (lol bad pun but I'm still under the weather here). Be on the lookout for an image makeover from My Magic Me. Tenille from Feisty Frugal & Fabulous finally succeeded in twisting my rubber arm!

Otter Bottle Review & Giveaway

I adore Stainless Steel Water Bottles. Not only are they healthier for us, they're better for the environment. And with all honesty I am horrible at drinking enough water. I know that its important, but I just can't get into the routine. Having an adorable water bottle gives me that little kick.

As someone who has done a lot of hiking and mountain climbing before motherhood, I am no stranger to toting a water bottle around. What makes Stainless Steel waterbottles different then the Nalgene bottles I carried for years is taste. I was constantly frustrated with the "off" taste of water after starting off in the morning in the blazing hot sun. Despite the thirst I would work up while hiking up the side of a mountain I could barely bring myself to drink from the plastic water bottle. I never dreamt that the bottles that I toted around with my religiously (almost like a status symbol) were also leaching chemicals into my water.

What impresses me about Stainless Steel Water Bottles is that they don't lend taste to water. When I'm drinking water I actually want to taste the water that I'm drinking. The second thing that impresses me about these water bottles is that the water actually stays cool inside! That is super impressive.

Compared with my trusty ole plastic bottle (which has long since been retired) this bottle is no heavier, just as durable, and is comparably priced. What sets these bottles far apart from my old plastic bottle is the designs available. Face it, these bottles are gorgeous! And above all else they leave my water tasting like water (not plastic), and keep it cool.

**online ordering for the Otter Bottle will be available February 18th & I cannot wait!**

Shannon of the Otter Bottle has generously offered one lucky Optimistic Beauty reader the opportunity to bring home their very own Stainless Steel Water Bottle! To enter head over to Otter Bottle and have a look at the current designs. Then come back here and let me know what your favorite design is. Its that easy!

Lombok Review

Its all the same... or is it? In this day and age it seems like everything available on the market is pretty much the same. You make the rounds to the different furniture stores in town, and everything looks the same. Furniture these days lacks personality. But does it have to?

Retailers like Lombok are the exception to this fad. Instead of stocking their shop with generic pieces their items are inspired. Lombok is reknowned for stocking stylish European inspired furniture. But not only furniture, laundry baskets, lampshades, and stylish storage round out the collection with flare. Personally, I would much prefer to fill my new home with unique pieces that have a story behind them. I've never been one for blending in with the crowd.

This log basket is gorgeous, and would be the perfect addition to any room. I realize that its intent is to tote logs into the house, while keeping your living room looking stylized (nothing wreaks havoc on your design plan more then logs for the fireplace piled haphazardly on the floor - trust me!), but the durable construction this basket could also easily be used to tote children's toys around, or even for packing groceries at the store.

We've been talking a lot about Beating the Winter Blahs in the last month, and one sure fire way to banish the Winter Blahs from your house is with small upgrades. Changing out your old lamp shades for new ones is a great pick me up. Perhaps down in your basement you have a lamp base that you adore, but the lamp shade leaves more than a little to be desired? Picking up a new lamp shade can be an economical way to spruce up your home, without breaking the bank.
My favorite product on Lombok's site is definitely the Water hyacinth Laundry Basket. I think that laundry baskets have a bum wrap. Its true. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who despises doing laundry, and being that the laundry tends to pile up in the laundry basket, those glares darting towards to laundry also fall on the basket. Its true, its true!
There are a couple things that I love about this laundry basket. The biggest one is that it is made from sustainable resources. Water hyacinth grows in abundance in Vietnam, infact water hyacinth is known for its speed of growth. It is a vigorous grower, known to double its population in only 2 weeks! The second is the look. It is aboslutely divine.

Lombok has done an amazing job stocking their shop with items that are sure to please. My list of must haves is rapidly growing. I am thoroughly impressed with the selection. The only thing that I do find frustrating about their site is the automatic zoom for the images. I do find that it makes it hard to view the items in detail.

The owner of this blog received payment for publishing of this review. However, the review provided is my honest opinions on the products featured. As always I am commited to providing honest, thorough opinions.

Edesse Designs - Review & Giveaway!

I absolutely adore Erica's shop Edesse Designs. She as an amazingly diverse collection of handmade notebooks, planners and food diaries.
One of my favorite new designs from Erica is her Recipe Books! What a great way to keep track of all those new recipes you come across, and I love the bright pink writing on the front cover.
There are a couple things about Erica's work that I love above all else. The first is obviously the selection of designs. And with all honesty a lot of her work looks good enough to eat! The second draw is the effort that she puts into designing her products. The third is that her products are filled with recycled paper!

Gracing my vast collection of notebooks are both the Peppermint Architectural Journal and a gorgeous Strawberry Planner. The Strawberry Planner was purchased as part of my get organized in 2009 plan, and so far so good. Its not hard to get into the world of organization when you have such cute accessories!

Erica has generously offered 2 lucky readers the opportunity to bring home their very own planners. That's right! There will be 2 winners of today's giveaway. Each winner will have their choice of any of the designs shown here

Beat the Winter Blahs with the Eleven Collection - Day26

Welcome to day 26 of the Beat the Winter Blahs Event! Today's spotlight is on yet another amazing shoe company. I have a shoe obsession. But not my shoes, my daughter's must have the newest and most exciting shoes available.

As I've mentioned in previous posts I live in hillbilly hell (and yes when I vocalize this around town people roll their eyes... lol), and the shopping choices are far too limited. Companies like the Eleven Collection make it possible for my kiddos to have the best of the best. Absolutely gorgeous, high quality, leather shoes that are built to last.

One of the things that I adore about the Eleven Collection is the amazing designs that are available. The colours are vibrant, and the designs exciting. The other thing that I think is great about the collection is that the soles are super flexible.

Tala absolutely adores her Eleven Collection shoes!

These adorable Alexi shoes are just perfect for your little princess. The color demands attention, and the classic design goes from party dress to jeans perfectly.

The Eleven Collection wants one lucky Optimistic Beauty reader to have the opportunity to try out this amazing brand for themselves!

To enter for your chance to win your very own pair of Eleven Collection shoes from the Fall Collection head on over to the Eleven Collection and let me know what your choice would be. Its that easy!

Beat the Winter Blahs with Luire Mineral Eyeshadow - Day25

What better way to Beat the Winter Blahs then with a makeover? Etsy seller Luire as an amazing assortment of gorgeous eye shadows (not to forget her kits, and lip gloss!)... to give you a fresh new look for Spring!

Mineral Make-up is making a huge splash in the cosmetics world. And its no wonder to see why. Not only is mineral makeup more gentle on sensitive skin, it also looks amazing. I have long been a fan. I love how easy it is to apply, blend, and create that perfect look. You can go dramatic or romantic with ease. Truly amazing products.

The one thing that has frustrated me is the incredible price of mineral eye shadows. Yikes! And being that I am an eye shadow junkie (seriously I have a weakness for eye shadows and have a whole makeup bag full of them) it can be pricey. Thank goodness for sellers like Luire who create a high quality product at an affordable price! And not only that she creates an overwhelmingly beautiful selection of shades too.

One of my favorite shades right now is definitely Shrinking Violet. The super cool thing about this shade is that it goes on violet and gets more blue the more you rub it in. So you can create the perfect blending with only one jar of eye shadows!

And for all my Twilight Fans who come bye the blog there is a super special treat (which I'm actually teetering on the brink of ordering for myself as well). The Bite Me Eye & Lip Gloss Set is divine! The perfect Valentine's gift for any Twilight fan... a $40 value for only $20 which features 4 eye shadows & the brand new Original Sin Lip Gloss!

Don't want the whole set? Then Luire's Vampire Lover looks absolutely divine!

Win your very own Eye Shadow from Luire Cosmetics! Kate has generously offered one lucky reader the opportunity to bring home their very own Shrinking Violet Mineral Eye Shadow 5g container! To enter head on over to Luire and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what your favorite shade is. It's that easy.

Beat the Winter Blahs with IsaBelt - Day24

**this giveaway is now closed**

Another amazing product to make you look amazing! Today I challenge you to experience the wonder that is IsaBelt!

The Fashion “Fix-it” …isABelt

isABelt is the MUST HAVE Fashion “fix-it” accessory. A thin, strong and flexible belt, that virtually disappears when worn, providing you with the assurance that all is secure without even knowing it's there. isABelt prevents back gap, slippage and of course, BELT BULK. The isABelt solves all of these fashion issues and many more.

Intrigued? Well so was I! The IsaBelt is truly a wardrobe saver. Its a thin plastic belt that really does what it says it does. The IsaBelt keeps your pants held firmly to your body to prevent back gap, keep your pants in place, and is virtually invisible.

I recommend this belt above all else to those who are in the process of a slim down and aren't quite ready for that next pair of pants, but are also finding their current sizes to be too big. The IsaBelt will extend the life of your pants, and make you feel more confident in your clothes.
The IsaBelt is also so unique in how adjustable it is. There is no doubt in my mind that while the pounds come off the Isabelt will be there to see me through my transformation. There aren't many products on the market, particularly belts, that can see you through a transition.

IsaBelt has generously offered one lucky Optimistic Beauty reader the opportunity to bring home their very own super awesome IsaBelt! To enter simply head on over to Isabelt and let me know your favorite feature of the IsaBelt. It's that easy!

Beat the Winter Blahs with Blush Undershirt - Day23

**this giveaway is now closed**

Hooray for Blush Undershirt! What an amazing innovative product to extend the life of your wardrobe through all of life's ups and downs. So today I encourage you to beat the Winter Blahs with Blush Undershirt!

One of the most exciting parts of being a blog owner is finding new and exciting products to pass onto my readers. Blush (your topless undershirt) is taking the world by storm. Not only do they benefit Mom's to be by extending their pre-pregnancy wardrobe, but they also help out afterwards by eliminating the embarrassing too short shirt dilemma. Stretchmarks have a wonderful way of ruining that perfect outfit when they make an appearance!

But its not just Moms and new-Moms who are enjoying these undershirts. Anyone who doesn't want to expose their undies, tummies, or just want to add a little bit of flair to their wardrobe are jumping on board.

The totally cool thing with the topless undershirt is that you can create that layered look without the layers! Personally I feel suffocated when I'm wearing too many clothes. So the Blush Undershirt is the perfect solution. You add the look of a layer with only utilizing the bottom half of the shirt. Pure genius.

I was a tad skeptical when I first received the undershirt. I was curious to see if I would be readjusting the top throughout the day, or constantly fighting to stop it from becoming a belly warmer (all slouched up in not the style!). So I put the Blush Undershirt through rigorous testing. First up I wore it to the office. The top stayed exactly in place, and did exactly what I hoped it would. No embarrassing back gap showage to my coworkers and clientele. Hooray!

And then just for fun I wore it will I did my Pilates routine. To my surprise it stayed in place and still looked great at the end. I have lost a lot of weight lately and have yet to replace my work out clothing... so while I was constantly tugging my pants back into place, the undershirt remained exactly where I put it.

This product is super amazing, and high on my list of must haves for everyone, including pregnant friends. I love the selection of designs available, and the price is pretty great to boot! $15 to extend the life of my wardobe? I'm sold!

****BUY IT! Blush has generously offered Optimistic Beauty readers the opportunity to save on their purchase of this must have accessory! Use the code 'welovebloggers' to save 20% off the purchase of 2 or more topless undershirts!***

One lucky Optimistic Beauty reader will bring home their very own Blush Undershirt in their choice of colour, and size (of course!).

To win head on over to Blush and have a look around and then come back here and let me know what your favorite colour/pattern is and that's it! So easy :O)

Beat the Winter Blahs with Uneaks - Day 22

***This giveaway is now closed***

Good morning Optimistic Beauty readers! Today I challenge you to beat the Winter Blahs with adorable, customizable shoes for your little one from Uneaks!

I'll start this post by using my favorite Lightning McQueen quote (how can you tell that I have kids? I use way too many quotes from cartoons!.. lol)... I live in "hillbilly hell". We don't even have Walmart. We have Zellers. Everything at Zellers is the same. On a typical day out we see child upon child wearing the exact same coats, shoes, and well just about everything. Its not that we're a really small town, but we are considered rural. And this time of the year living in Northern BC travel to the next town over is not overly plausible, with how often the highway's been closed and with my luck I'm sure I'd be stuck in Terrace forever!

And so!... I rely heavily on the internet to find the girls cute clothing, and most recently shoes. There's nothing more frustrating then clammering through hoards of shoes at a party trying to find your child's among the dozen matching shoes!

What I love about Uneaks is that the shoes are that they are so customizable. The shoes come with clear plastic windows that allow your child's socks to finish the look.

The shoes are fashionable. I'm loving the skate shoe above! Tala has been having a blast trying on every single different sock she owns to create the perfect look to go with the super fast runners. Apparently they make her super fast. LOL.

My concern with the shoes when I first found them was that we live in such a wet climate that even when its sunny out there's still puddles everywhere. I was worried that the plastic windows would be a surefire place for the puddles to advance through. I am very pleased to announce that we have had none of those issues at all!

BUY IT! Sign up for Uneaks Email Subscription and they'll send you a coupon (via email) good for 40% off your order & free shipping! What a great incentive to try out these shoes at a great price!

WIN IT! One lucky Optimistic Beauty Reader will have the opportunity to bring home their very own pair of Uneaks & a pair of super cool socks to add that extra little umph to their footwear!

To enter head on over to Uneaks and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what your favorite design of shoe is! It's that easy!

Beat the Winter Blahs with Lizzy Clara - Day21

What better way to beat the Winter Blahs then by spreading cheer with bright, cheerful, spring inspired designs from Lizza Clara!

Dale's shop is filled to the brim with unique, one of a kind cards. They are absolutely beautiful and so reminiscent of spring, flowers, sunshine, and warmth.

Whether you choose to frame your pieces, or make someones day with a note in the post these cards are bound to please everyone. My favorite right now is the Pastel Princess Card. The little Princess reminds me of my little girl Tala.

The quality of these cards is great. The cardstock that they're printed on is top notch quality, and is very sturdy. The designs are lovely and sure to brighten your day. I love these cards! Dale has done an absolutely amazing job creating the perfect images for her art.

This upside down Thomas card is Malie's favorite. She giggles and giggles everytime she looks at it. It sure does capture the innocence of childhood. I remember having competitions with my friends during those long summer days to see who could hang upside down the longest.

Dale has generously offered one lucky Optimistic Beauty reader the opportunity to bring home their very own set of 5 cards. What a great prize! To enter head on over to Lizzy Clara and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what you're favorite design is. It's that easy!

Beat the Winter Blahs with Sweet Surrender Candle - Day20

Today, my friends, I encourage you to Beat the Winter Blahs by relaxing with heavenly scented candles from Sweet Surrender Candle. Yum!

From Sweet Surrender Candle's Etsy shop comes the following information on her amazing candles.
Quality wax, fragrance oil and paper wick. You will have a clean burn and a melt pool across the jar. 50 or more hours burn time.

Soy candles burn cleaner, longer, hold more scent and do not create soot.

Add these amazing facts to the well over 500 scents available and you're in candle heaven! Shown below is the Kiwi Sherbet Candle, retailing for $12.95 with 70 hours of burn time!

Next on my list of purchases will definitely be the Moonspice Candle, 8oz Tin. The combination of scents sounds absolutely divine.
A wonderfully fragrant blend of warm spices, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg.

Gives you that warm home & hearth feeling like a cozy cottage with a fireplace on a cold snowy evening.

I was fortunate to receive the Surrender Candle to review from Joanne and the scent is absolutely wonderful. The throw of the candle is wonderful, with the scent travelling through the bottom floor of my house quickly... which is super awesome. I find this scent to be superb for the bathroom while relaxing in the tub after a long day at work.

Sweet Surrender Candle has a huge collection of products available, including jars, tins, tealights, votives and my new addiction Clam Shell Tarts! All at reasonable prices, and shipping within the US is absolutely amazing ($9.30 flat rate shipping!).

Joanne has generously offered one lucky reader the chance to bring home their very own 8 oz Soy Candle Tin, in your choice of one of 530 scents!

To enter head on over to Sweet Surrender Candles and have a look around. Come back here and let me know your favorite scent! It's that easy :O)

Beat the Winter Blahs with ProMom Couture - Day19

Beat the Winter Blahs with a great company who is all about empowering those who (in my humble opinion) make the world go round. ProMom Couture
With slogans like "Knock Out Mom", Grateful Mom and Rock N Rule there's no doubting why these shirts are so popular among everyone, including celebrity parents like Cindy Crawford. Promom has also been seen on Oprah! That is quite the accomplishment!

What I love the most about these shirts is the whole pro-mom attitude. A super cute shirt is a far better reflection on your status as the coolest mom ever then oversized, baggy shirts that do absolutely nothing for your.

The other super awesome thing is that the shirts are long enough to prevent you from baring your back and underwear to everyone as the weather warms and we forgo our winter parkas. The are also tapered in at the waist so they enhance your body's beauty.

I was very fortunate to receive my very own Rock N Rule Mom tee to try out. I absolutely adore it and everytime I wear it I get so many compliments that its crazy! The quality is great, and its super easy to care for. It looks great througout the day, without bagging out, and looking sloppy towards the end of the work day.

BUY IT! Use coupon code ' celebration ' to save 50%! That's right! Get an amazing shirt for only $20 plus shipping. Do not miss out this opportunity to stock your wardrobe with the coolest Mom shirts on the market!
WIN IT! ProMom Couture has generously offered two lucky readers the chance to win! Winner #1 will bring home the Rock N Rule Tee shown above. Winner #2 will bring the Grateful Mom tee shown below!
To enter head on over to Pro Mom Couture and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know what your favorite design is. Its that easy!

Beat the Winter Blahs with Refresh'n Towels - day18

Today's Beat the Winter Blahs Giveaway is a product near and dear to my heart. To be 110% honest I despise laundry. It takes up way too much time, and I'm never done. There seems to be a never ending pile of laundry waiting to go through the cycle. So when a product comes along that helps me do my least favorite chore more effectively then I'm all over it. So today I encourage you to Beat the Winter Blahs by getting out of the laundry room and back into your life!

The premise behind Refresh'n Dryer Towels is simple. You place a couple items of clothing into the dryer, wet the Refresh'n Towel and then spread it over top of your clothes. Set the dryer for 10-15 minutes and voila! Your clothes are steam cleaned and refreshed. No more doing endless loads of laundry, wasting time, money and precious resources!

My favorite use for the Refresh'n Towel is my work clothes. It seems like everything is hand wash, or dry clean only. Drives me up the wall. I don't have time to hand wash my clothing so the Refresh'n towel is a huge time saver. I can throw in my pants and shirt for the day into the dryer with the Refresh'n towel, head upstairs and make the girls breakfast, then get dressed in fresh clothing! Now that's genious!

The wonderful folks at Refresh'n have been super generous to Optimistic Beauty Readers today! 3 lucky readers will have the opportunity to experience the amazing quality, and results of the Refresh'n Towel themselves! Super cool :O)

To enter head on over to Refresh'n Towel and have a look around. Then come back here and let me know your favorite tidbit of information found on their website. It's that easy!
